Hi everyone, I hope all is well with you. It's finally time to present to you the final version of 0.7.
Version 0.7.9 fixes all remaining bugs that were reported over the past few weeks and will introduce repeatable scenes with Sakuya and Asami.
This is a minor update; the major update will come in the fall, dedicated to Noriko.
At that time, we'll be switching game engines. We'll say goodbye to Ren'Py, which has been with us till now, and hello to Godot, which will offer us many more possibilities.
Another update: with the change in game engine and the new update, "Goodbye Eternity" will see its first price increase. The game is currently available for $10 on itch.io, but upon the release of version 0.8, it will be priced at $15.
A silver lining though: if you buy the game on Gog in the future, just like on Steam, the game's price will be localized based on your geographical region.
One last important note: there will be a closed beta phase taking place for about ten days before the release of v0.8. Authentication will be through an active Patreon account (available from the first tier).

No, saves cannot be transferred from one game engine to another. But with veteran start this isn't really a problem, as you can choose your relationships.

absolutely not, if you have paid one time you can always download future updates for free, even if the price goes up.
Interesting. I like Godot but Renpy has gotten fairly decent lately.

i bought the game here too. at the beginning of the page https://the-end-of-time.itch.io/goodbye-eternity , it should appear the download link if you are in the account you used to buy the game. or you can check the download link they sent you when you bought the game

I think thats just for new users who are looking at the game, if we had to buy it again I'd ad least hope for a refund first.

We still don't know if you're going to block v0.8.0 behind $15 paywall. This article told us supporters that we keep the game but the developers could also keep a version behind a different paywall so it's not helping much other than you confirming it.
it still kinda look a little unclear maybe just only me, in article said "If you have files that are unlocked with a specific price though, the original purchase price must be above that amount to access the file".
Hope that we will not have to pay a full price again.
